Why Interior Designer?

If you landed on my page you have obviously either decided or are considering using the services of a professional interior designer. And it’s great that you are doing your research to find out what options are out there and who you’d prefer to work with. Having worked with many different clients, I know that looking for an interior designer, especially for the first time, could be an intimidating and frustrating experience for you.

You probably have all kinds of questions in your head as you browse online in search of help with your interior design needs. The most common that I hear is "why invest in an Interior Designer?" One thing that people are usually mistaken about is that interior design services are expensive. Yes there are interior designers out there with a big name, and of course, they also charge accordingly – it’s like buying a brand name clothing item – you are paying first and foremost for the label.

The other big misconception is that interior designers are only good for those popular dècor magazines that present to us unreal spaces and design ideas that are out of reach for the regular people. In my interactions with clients I’ve often heard that people living in subdivision homes can’t really apply any of the ideas in those magazines to real life – yes, they are beautiful pictures but are impractical to someone trying to make a typical newly-built subdivision house a home.
